"My Health, My Community"

Year: 2020
Client: spryberry/Fraser Health

Graphic Designer: Dusty Yurkin (www.dustyanna.ca)

Trenton was contacted by spryberry on behalf of Fraser Health to add custom Coast Salish inspired artwork for their "My Health, My Community" campaign.

The woman in the cedar hat represents the medicine healers of the Coast Salish people who wore cedar hats during ceremonies, with the weaving of these hats representing our personal connections of heart and mind. The mountains are the hills and valleys we must overcome. The hummingbird represents our essence—we are each unique and heal at our own pace— while the butterfly represents our transformations throughout life.

The seven sacred teachings of reconciliation and the relations we have with people from all walks of life are represented by the seven different feathers.
