Ecole Salish commissioned RainAwakens to complete a mural within the school that reflects his spirit and the spirit of the school.

 

The mural is a tribute to our ancestors watching over us from different realms as we further our education to adapt to our ever changing world. It is a reminder to us to remember where we come from and what our culture is. 

 

The girl sitting on the drum is reading a book while being watched over by the great spirit bear. The blue whisps are being released from her because it is a reminder that it is up to us to share what we learn with others to make a better world. The background is a tribute to the different colours of the world and also a welcoming space for the LGBTQ2S+ community.
